  he makes some very interesting points and shares some interesting experiences about the strange behavior of fundamentalist christians, like the way they label everyone who doesn't share their beliefs as being worshipers of the devil.

He makes some very interesting points and shares some interesting experiences about the strange behavior of fundamentalist christians, like the way they label everyone who doesn't share their beliefs as being worshipers of the Devil. And that's not the only point in his talk that ex-JWs will find familiar. He has a witty sense of humor and often gives insider jokes (which former bible-believers will understand) in passing.   Eh.... I smell a trumped up excuse by the government to go after a group they have publicly demonstrated hatred toward. Not that I blame them... but....

  ... Eh!

  I really hope the report is true. But like I indicated on another related thread, I know the Russian govts recent history of persecution against JWs so this could be a trumped up charge motivated by enmity toward the JWs. But I really hope it's not.

  Is It Spirituality or Mentality?

  there are many religious people who say they pray for holy spirit and feel better.

  some who are over stressed will say they keep praying for a calm disposition until the stress and anxiety disappears,claiming it is god's spirit.

  others will ask jesus into their hearts and feel an overwhelming sensation of peace and clarity.

  syneidos posted some interesting information on reddit regarding jw.org's latest project for the upcomming 2015 memorial campaign.. for next year's 2015 memorial campaign, jw.org is producing an invitational video featuring jesus.

  the video is still being filmed at the moment and i was told it was super "confidential.

  It could play as a commercial on TV networks. The jw.org logo will direct viewers to visit jw.org. On jw.org they can feature the memorial and have drop down boxes so visitors can choose their country and get a map and/or the address of the time and place nearest to them. There is already something similar to this on jw.org for finding a kingdom hall nearest to you.

  st. petersburg, november 7 (rapsi) environmental prosecutors office for st. petersburg have uncovered violations by the russian jehovahs witnesses chapter, according to the statement issued by the prosecution on friday.. the prosecutors office reports that the religious organization dumped waste in a creek that flows into the gulf of finland, in upstate st. petersburg, without any permit.. the neva-ladoga water authority confirmed that in 2013, jehovahs witnesses dumped more than 30 thousand cubic meters of waste into the creek.

  in 2014, authorities detected a rise in concentrations in ammonium lignosulphonate and fluoride, in violation of the on environmental protection federal law and water code of russian federation.. the prosecutors have filed a lawsuit against dumping waste into the creek.

  Knowing the Russian govt's recent enmity toward JWs, I'm not fully convinced of the accuracy of the report. We cannot rule out the possibility of trumped up charges in this case. I take the report with a grain of salt.

  Could the faith-testing announcement have to do with the selling of many "older" kingdom halls in the US, resulting in the dissolution of some congregations and members being consolidated into others? This announcement was made in the UK and is mentioned on this recent thread.
